The trouble with anniversary gifts is that almost all of them are interchangeable. A necklace is a lovely object that anyone could have given anyone. The reason a personalized novel lands differently is that it cannot be re-gifted, cannot be guessed at, and could not have been bought for somebody else by mistake.

What makes it work is the interview. You are asked how you met, where the story lives, and what only the two of you know: the code word, the joke that ends every argument, the thing one of you always says. Those details end up on the page verbatim, which is the moment most people react to.

And it keeps going after the day, which a physical gift does not. The first chapter is the gift; the serial is what you read together for the next six months, each chapter built on what came before.

What buyers ask first

How long does it take?
The interview takes about ten minutes, and the first chapter arrives within a day of you choosing a premise, because every chapter is written and then checked against what you asked for before it is delivered, and anything that fails that check waits for a person. If you are buying against a date, give yourself a couple of days of margin.
What if I do not want it explicit?
You set the heat, from tender through to explicit, and it is a ceiling rather than a target. You also set hard limits, which are absolute: things the story will never do, whatever else you asked for.
Do I have to share personal details?
Only the two of you. Details go into writing your chapters and nothing else, no advertising and no data sales, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time. Every chapter is checked against what you asked for before delivery, and anything that fails that check is held back for a person to read. That is what keeps the quality honest.
Can I give it to somebody without them knowing what I shared?
You choose every detail that goes in. If your partner is a real person in the story, we record their consent before a word is written; that is not optional, and it is enforced rather than promised.
