The distance can go in the book or stay out of it. Some couples want the story set in the life they will have when the distance ends; some want the airport chapter, the time difference, the phone calls that go too long. The interview asks; you decide.

And it gives the calls something new. Each chapter is steered by what you both thought of the last one, which means the story becomes a standing agenda item: a thing that is happening to both of you at the same time, which is exactly what distance takes away.

How does delivery work if we are in different countries?
Chapters are delivered online, to each of you, at the same time. There is nothing to ship and no customs form for chapter three.
How long until the first chapter?
The interview takes about ten minutes, and the first chapter arrives within a day of you choosing a premise, because a person reads every chapter before it is delivered. If you are buying against a date, give yourself a couple of days of margin.
Can the story be about the distance itself?
If you want it to be. The interview asks where your story lives; an ocean is an acceptable answer, and so is the city you are saving up to share.
Who reads what we share?
Only the two of you. Details go into writing your chapters and nothing else, no advertising and no data sales, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time. One editor reads each chapter before delivery, which is what keeps the quality honest.
