Friends to lovers, written about you
The slowest burn there is: two people who already chose each other and will not say so. Have yours written from your real history, at the heat you set.
Your first chapter is free.
Friends to lovers is the trope with the most to lose, which is why it burns slowest. Enemies risk nothing by kissing; friends risk the entire architecture of their lives. The engine is not attraction, which was settled years ago. It is the accounting: whether what they would gain is worth what a wrong move would cost.
The version that fails skips the friendship. If the reader never sees what these two are like on an ordinary Tuesday, the crossing means nothing. The version that works spends its first act on the routines (the standing order, the shared shorthand, the seat that is always saved) so that the first break in routine registers like a fire alarm.
Real couples who started as friends have an advantage no novelist does: the crossing actually happened, and you both remember the Tuesday it happened on. That night goes in the interview, and it comes back on the page with your details where the placeholders would be.
How you would ask for this
- World
- any world you like
- Twist
- Friends and a secret crush
- Heat
- tender through explicit
Everything else comes from your own interview: who is in it with you, the details only you would think to give, and the limits the story will never cross.
Have one written with you as the lead.
A short interview, your own heat setting, and chapters that arrive built from your details. A person reviews every one before it reaches you.
